June was an exciting first month for us here at Manhattan Sound Recording. I want to just take a second to thank everyone who helped us kick things off.
After two (very long) months of us renovating the space (photos to come soon!), we partook in some much needed celebrating. The previous occupants of the space hosted a joint party here between MSR and their own organization, The Manhattan Producers Alliance, which we quickly followed with what was the first of many industry happy hours (thanks to everyone who made it out, it was great to meet you all) hosted at the studio. It was a great mix of people from all facets of the industry, lots of new friends were made and a great time was had.
On to business, we kicked off our first month with a mix for MTV Networks wtih Pat Viala and the Madison Avenue Boys while producer/engineer George Petit spent some time in studio B tracking demos for an upcoming project. Also, we had the pleasure of doing some vocal tracking on the Shakespeare In The Park cast album with Academy Award nominee Anne Hathaway and engineer Isaiah Abolin.
Overall, not a bad first month... looking forward to many more!
Have a great 4th, everybody.
